Any Questions?

Food

Eating preferences may need to be temporarily reconsidered. Every effort will be made to accommodate dietary requirements that are necessary for health reasons, but we would ask you to please take ultimate responsibility for what you or your child will eat. We do need advance notice of any dietary requirements to enable the chef to plan menus.
A number of additional meals will be available for purchase in Gartmore House. These must be booked in advance.

Children

There is a small kitchen area for use by campers and those in the dorms. A fridge/freezer, microwave & toaster are provided in this area.
There are a couple of high chairs available, but no booster seats. Please plan to bring your own. Baby cots are not provided on environmental health grounds.
A crèche, staffed by volunteers, will be provided during the morning sessions.
There is ample room in most bedrooms for a travel cot.
Babies and toddlers two and under are free in all types of accommodation.

Gartmore Amenities

A number of meals will be available for purchase in Gartmore House. These must be booked in advance.
Gartmore can provide a laundry service for conferees for a fee.
There are no pay phones at Gartmore House. Wi-fi is very limited.
There is a limited wi-fi service in the Mansion House reception area.

Afternoon Activities

Volleyball, football, and other informal games will be happening on site each afternoon. Bring your own ball!
It is hoped that several craft workshops will be on offer throughout the week. Tea and coffee will also be available in the Mansion House foyer each afternoon.
Many of the afternoon activities will be designed to include all age groups. Those that are specific to adults or children will be advertised as such!

Conference Information

2pm on Saturday, 19 July 2014.
Registration will be available from 2pm – 5pm in Gartmore House.
The first meal will be served at 5.30pm. The first Conference gathering will start at 7pm.
Departure time is 10am to allow Gartmore to get the next group in that afternoon.
This conference is organised and run by those who have given up their time freely. It will not happen without help from many. If you are asked to help, please do – everyone will benefit, including you!
Most adults attending the Conference will be required to fill out a 'self-declaration' child protection form. This will be provided for you to sign at the time of registration. Those working particularly with children during the conference may be asked for further details.
The organising committee is working very hard to liase with Gartmore House on behalf of the Conference. Please do not contact Gartmore House directly. Instead, contact the committee by using the 'contact us' form online with any further questions.
There will be a first aid person on call each day, and a medical help will not be far away should an emergency arise.

Nearer to the time the committee will endeavour to organise a bus from Glasgow city centre for those who need transport to the Conference. Please keep coming back to this site for details.

Miscellaneous

The goal of the Conference is to provide a setting where families, singles, couples & youth can meet together in a safe environment, and where God, above all, is glorified. We trust that all of the experiences during the week will allow conferees to keep their focus on glorifying God through praise, prayer, study, worship, relaxation and fellowship of the saints.
The morning sessions will be divided up into age-appropriate groups, and a crèche will be provided. Most of the evening gatherings will be planned in an informal way that will be inclusive of all ages.
Many of the afternoon activities will be designed to include all age groups. Those that are specific to adults or children will be advertised as such!
Day visitors will be made most welcome! Please plan to book your visit in advance, and pay your day visitor fees.
The Covenanter Book Centre has kindly sponsored a bookstall at past conferences.
Gartmore House operates a non-smoking policy.
Pets are not allowed at Gartmore House.
No particular dress code is required.

Bed linen and towels will be provided in all full-board accommodation.
All bedrooms in the mansion house can be reached by the lift that services all floors. A fully accessible room includes a tiled ensuite bathroom with rails, grab bar and walk-in shower.

Camping

2pm on Saturday, 19 July 2014.
There will be another large group leaving on Saturday morning, so it will not be possible for campers to arrive early.
Registration will be available from 2pm – 5pm in Gartmore House.
There is a small kitchen area for use by campers and those in the dorms. A fridge/freezer, microwave & toaster are provided in this area.
For the campers there are showers and toilets in the Basement of the Mansion house and in the Sports Hall. This is only a short walk away -2minutes. These will be segregated into male and female. The toilets are not for the specific use of campers. There will be adequate toilets available.
With children we would recommend that you bring a bucket with a lid or a portable toilet for emergency use at night. There will be chemical toilet disposal facilities.
There is a small kitchen where washing up can be done
At present the nearest water supply for the camping field is in the small kitchen in the Dorms. There is also a tap in the basement toilet block of the Main House. Both of these supplies are drinking water.
Depending on the weather, cars can get on to the camping field to unload. However, during the week, cars should park in the car park rather than on the field for safety reasons.
Cars will not be allowed to park near to the tents for safety reasons. Please provide an alternative power supply for your tent.
We plan to have the trailer tents and caravans pitch in a separate area with access to hard standing.
In line with health and safety requirements we will provide fire extinguishers in a central area. However, we would ask each tent, caravan or trailer tent to come prepared with their own fire extinguisher unit.

The lead name on each booking must be unique. If you need to make more than one booking, please make sure the lead name has not been used before.

Scotland is part of the United Kingdom, and uses British pounds sterling (£). Therefore, all charges will be made in this currency.

We appreciate that everyone will have a personal preference regarding his or her accommodation. Utmost care and compassion will be taken to accommodate the individual nature of each application, bearing in mind needs and preferences which have been noted on the booking form.
